Cultivation of patience and understanding began in my early childhood.  For her generous offer (reward?!) of two Zero candy bars I'd often sit with, and listen to, one of the dearest, widowed, next-door neighbors ever known to me.  She'd happily share her 90+ years of stories day after day.

Throughout my life I continue to cherish the numerous narrations of memories delivered by seniors, each with their unique, adorable, charming personalities.
Skills acquired?  PATIENCE and ATTENTIVE LISTENING.
